Taya Willard arrives

Taya arrived in Salt Lake City on April 21, 2010.

Dev's Home!!

Well folks the kid is home. He actually got home on tuesday night, but since I had finals I haven't gotten to updating until now. His 18th birthday was yesterday, we didn't do anything special but were all glad we got to hang out at home and not in a hospital room. When he first got home I don't know who was more excited him or Molly. They were both very happy. So now we have a hospital bed in our family room, it greatly adds to the decor. He is moving his legs a little more and is trying to climb out of bed, this is a good sign because he is acting more like himself, but bad because if he ever does roll out of bed the only place to go is down. He is still on his antibiotic for his infection and he came home with a pic line so that we can give him the hard core meds, but he is improving! Kim sent him a little air gun that he is thoroughly enjoying shooting at me right now, thanks for that! so ya he's improving a little bit at a time but he will get there eventually.

PS- Big Shout out to Ryan and Holly who had adorable little Taya on Devin's Birthday! I hope I can get over there to see you guys soon!

Happy Birthday Devin!

I love to look into Devin's eyes. Every time I look into those beautiful eyes I feel an overwhelming sense of peace and love. He is truly an angel and I feel so blessed to be part of his family!

One of the things I love about Devin is his sense of humor. He is forever trying to blindside you just so he can get to your stuff and throw it. He throws things off stairs, boats, counters, tables etc, etc. It is his favorite game and I must admit he is pretty good at it. I mean he has had years of practice perfecting his blindside game.

Poor guy has had a lot of health issues and is spending his birthday in Primary Children's Hospital. (Unless he was recently released, Haley please update!) Please pray for him and his family as they are exhausted and needing some extra help from above.

We sure love Devin and hope that his body will soon be free of pain! Hang in there Scadlock's, "thine afflictions shall be but a small moment."

Its spring in the valley

We woke up to a little snow this morning - April 6, 2010. There was about 8 inches. Since we live on somewhat of a geriatric street, Hazel and Paul were clearing driveways where the snow plow left huge piles.
