This is a long story, but very very brief here. 55 years ago, I worked a part time job after school with some other teenage boys. As we moved on to college, military, marriage, etc. contacts were lost and new friends were made. I was seaching on the web site new.familysearch.org last week and recognized a name from long ago.
I decided to use online white pages to see if a connection could be made, and a possible name came up in our town of Kaysville. Hazel and I went to the house last Saturday night (it was almost dark), and introduced ourselves and asked if he knew the person I was looking for.
He told me that it was his dad, and that he was sitting by a fire they had just started in the back yard. What a reunion, - my friend, Alan and his wife just happened to be on vacation from Idaho and were visiting their son on that day.
We sat by the fire on a beautiful moonlit night and talked for 2 hours - as the son kept putting more wood on the fire and listening to our old tales of 50 plus years ago and catching up on our lives since then. It was an amazing event.
