This week is a busy birthday week for our family. Today my little Zack is an official teenager (wish us luck) and Ty will be 10 on Thursday. These two are the my sunshine and joy! Yes Ty makes me crazy and keeps me on my toes and Zack has perfected the phrase "I don't want to" but they also bring me so much happiness.
Zack is so smart, kind, compassionate and really funny! He is very quick witted and makes me laugh. Last week Ty was having a very hard day and spent much of it running up to his bedroom and slamming his door. I was at my wits end so to speak and ended up telling Ty to go to his room once again. As he was running to his room Zack came over next to me and said "wait for it" ...then we heard SLAM...to which Zack said "and there it is". He is the peace maker in our family and is always trying to comfort me and show his love and appreciation.
Ty is what we like to call street smart. Several years ago a neighbor took one of Ty's toys. Ty was probably 6 or 7. He knew this boy took his toy but could not prove it. The boy just kept denying he had seen the toy and that he did not have it. Ty never got mad but he knew that boy had taken his toy so he thought about it for a long time. Then he suddenly went to his room and got some coins. He then went and told the boy he would give him the coins if the boy would give him his toy back. The boy happily agreed and ran to the garbage can to get Ty's toy. Ty came back in the house satisfied with the outcome. It was interesting to watch because you could really see him thinking about how he was going to get that toy. He was never mad, it was like a challenge to him! Ty is a very sweet boy and loves to give hugs and kisses. He also loves to wrestle with Matt and above all he LOVES football. The kid just can't get enough!
I am so proud to be their mom! Happy Birthday guys, I love you tons!
